JOB SUMMARY:

This role is a strategic position designed to lead, unify, and enhance administrative functions within the Operations department. This role serves as a pivotal point for improving operational efficiency, interdepartmental collaboration, and adaptability to evolving business needs.

The centralization of administrative support within the Operations team is a forward-thinking strategic decision, which serves as a catalyst for continuous improvement, enabling the operations administration team to deliver higher-quality outcomes, respond to emerging needs, and uphold the standards that drive organizational success.  Also, it addresses critical challenges related to efficiency, consistency, and resource allocation, while positioning the team for greater collaboration, agility, and impact.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Oversight of centralizing and standardizing administrative practices to ensure consistency and quality
  • Overseeing document management, audit preparedness, and process oversight
  • Support business continuity by maintaining robust documentation and process consistency
  • Designing and implementing streamlined procedures for document control, resource allocation, and communication flow
  • Address Change Management challenges associated with standardizing practices across currently diverse workgroups
  • Identify and implement best practices for administrative support, including workflow optimization and resource management
  • Coach and mentor administrative staff to ensure high standards and adaptability
  • Facilitate the adoption of new technologies or systems related to administrative support
  • Fostering continuous improvement in administrative practices

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

 

•    Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration or other related equivalent AND/OR;
•    Seven (7) years of related experience in office administration or office management at a senior level 
•    Strong team leader and member with the ability to select and develop staff and influence the performance of others
•    Ability to impact and influence employee collaboration and development, while focusing on teamwork and holding people accountable
•    Results oriented thinker, with the ability to influence and manage complex and confidential issues with sensitivity and professionalism
•    Ability to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation and teamwork
•    Demonstrated skill in SaskPower’s competencies
•    Must have a continuing record of professional development  

A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered
